We support your lifestyle
Welcome to Kemble at Home
Hereford's trusted domiciliary care provider
We are incredibly proud that we have built a strong reputation as Hereford’s most trusted domiciliary care provider.

We have got bags of experience: some 25 years ago in 1993, Michael and Sharon King set up a small company, called Kemble Care, to support people with housekeeping tasks and care needs in their own home. Word quickly went around that they were gentle, reliable and professional, and it wasn’t long before their staff offered support to people all around Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, and Powys.
Since 2010 their son Peter has taken over the day-to-day running of the business, and we are still going strong today. We changed our name to Kemble at Home in 2017, because we feel that we do so much more than deliver care – we help people enjoy the life they want and feel happy in their own home.

Who is domiciliary care for?
With domiciliary care, there is no one size fits all and we support people young and old, often suffering from complex physical conditions.

There are many reasons why our clients come to us. Most often, people wish to keep living an active and engaged lifestyle and would appreciate some support to live a dynamic a life as possible.

Often, our staff can make a big difference by simply taking over some housekeeping tasks, whether that includes walking the dog, cleaning the house or tending the garden. More often than not, we play an important role in getting people out and about – we drive them to visit family and friends, hop on the bus with them to go shopping for a new wardrobe, or we join them to the cinema for a film.

Many of our clients suffer from complex physical conditions, whether it is dementia, sensory impairment, Alzheimer’s, or Multiple Sclerosis, to name but a few. Healthcare professionals often refer to ‘specialist care’, but we find it commonplace that all our carers are trained to support with such conditions.

In sum, domiciliary care can take many shapes and forms, and there is no one size fits all. We are there to support in any way that might suit you, whether it’s temporary or for a longer period of time, as and when you need it. There is always something we can do to take the weight off your shoulders. Read more about how we can help.

How does domiciliary care work?
Our domiciliary care services fall into two categories: care by the hour and live-in care. To learn more about each, click on the links below or keep scrolling down.
Live-in care is an economical alternative to a care home. A carer lives with you, in your own home. Live-in care is ideal for individuals or couples who want to remain in their own home and need support with their daily activities.
We can visit you any time of day, for as long as you like. Whether it is an hour to get ready in the morning or several visits to support with household tasks and care requirements, our carers will do whatever it takes to make your life easier.
