What is live-in care?
24-hour care, also known as live-in care, is becoming increasingly popular among individuals and couples who need ongoing support and who prefer to stay at home rather than opt for residential care.

With live-in care, a carer comes to live with you, in your own home, and is available day and night to help out. Whether they assist with light household work, support with recovery after a stay in the hospital, or are simply there as a companion and an extra pair of ears and eyes, live-in carers can often enable people to live at home for much longer.

How does live-in care work?
We like to keep things simple, and live-in care is very straightforward. We introduce you to our available live-in carers, and you can choose the person you trust and believe you naturally get on with. Because your live-in carer lives with you, a daily routine often establishes quickly, and many live-in carers stay with the same clients for months, if not years.

You will have your own named contact individual in the office, whose role it is to ensure that you get all the support you need and that you and your live-in carer are happy with the way things are going. Your contact person will touch base with you regularly to ask whether you are satisfied with the way we support you, and to discuss how we can help out.
The beauty of live-in care is that it is very flexible – you decide directly with your live-in carer what you would like them to help with and how. They can help you with all things big and small. They can run errands for you, assist with household tasks like cooking and cleaning, they can accompany you to your social events and appointments or liaise with family and healthcare professionals.

Above all, for many people, live-in care offers a great source of companionship. It can be a great relief to know that there is someone around to drink a cup of tea with, go for a walk with, or who is simply there to keep an eye out.
