What our carers say about us

“We trust people” is one of our key principles, and we firmly believe that we can only deliver an outstanding service for our clients if our carers feel confident, happy, and comfortable in their roles.

We are incredibly proud of our company culture, and we work hard to create a place where everybody can feel safe, work hard, and have fun.

Why our staff rarely leave

One of the things that we are most proud of, is that our staff rarely leave. Many of our carers have been with us for years, if not decades.

In November 2018, we celebrated that fourteen of our carers (sixteen if you count our founders, Michael and Sharon King), had been with us for ten or more years.

That is one in five – that is twenty per cent! – of our visiting care staff. One in five has been with us for a decade or more! In fact, some of them have been with us for nearly two decades - they were there when it all began.

That we have got such a loyal team is - to be frank - quite unique in the home care sector, where the majority of care staff tends to leave within the first two years. Not with us, and we are incredibly proud of having such a loyal team.

In our carer's own words

Another of our key principles is, “We keep learning”, and we regularly ask our staff for feedback on how we are doing as an employer. We want to know how our staff feel about our company culture, whether they feel supported and confident in their jobs, and whether they are happy with the training they receive.

Thought training was good learned a lot even though been doing care work on and of all my life, trainers and information seemed much better than any of the many courses done over the years
